About Product

What Is RayaSal?

RAYASAL is a medication that is applied on the skin to treat conditions where the skin becomes thick and rough due to an excess of keratin. It comes in the form of a Cream. The active ingredient in RAYASAL is salicylic acid, which helps to remove excess keratin. In addition to salicylic acid, RAYASAL Cream contains other ingredients that help it to spread easily and stay on the skin.

These ingredients include cetyl alcohol, disodium EDTA, emulsifying wax, glyceryl stearate SE, jojoba oil, PEG-100 stearate, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium hydroxide, stearic acid, stearyl alcohol, tocopheryl acetate, white petrolatum, and xanthan gum.

RAYASAL Cream is packaged in a 95-gram pump that uses an airless system to dispense the medication. This pump is labeled with a unique NDC Number, which helps to identify the specific product.

Safety and Adverse Events

RAYASAL is designed for external use only and should not be used in the eyes, mouth, anus, or vagina. It is important to avoid contact with the eyes, lips, broken or inflamed skin, and mucous membranes. People with a known hypersensitivity to salicylic acid or any of the listed ingredients should not use RAYASAL. Prolonged use of RAYASAL over large areas, especially in children and individuals with significant kidney or liver problems, may lead to a condition called salicylism. It is important to avoid using other medications that can increase salicylate levels and potentially cause toxicity when using RAYASAL.

In children under 12 years old and patients with kidney or liver impairment, RAYASAL should only be applied to limited areas and close monitoring for signs of salicylate toxicity is necessary. These signs may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, hearing loss, ringing in the ears, lethargy, rapid breathing, diarrhea, and mental disturbances.

If signs of salicylic acid toxicity occur, RAYASAL should be discontinued. Administering fluids to promote urine excretion and using sodium bicarbonate (either orally or intravenously) as appropriate can be part of the treatment. It is important to note that salicylate products should not be given to children or teenagers with chickenpox or flu symptoms, as it may increase the risk of developing Reye's syndrome, unless directed by a physician.

RAYASAL should only be used as directed by a physician and should not be used to treat any other condition than what it is prescribed for. It should not be used on areas of the skin that are inflamed or oozing, as it may increase absorption. If redness or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult the prescribing physician.
